Rossory House Crow's Nest Studio enjoys an incredible vantage point over the mountains that lie between Kyoto and Lake Biwa. Sitting above the main house with an entirely separate entrance way and facilities, the Crow's Nest is designed for individuals and couples seeking a truly unique location for their stay in Japan.
Living in the Crow's Nest
The Crow's Nest Living Room enjoys some of the most beautiful views of the surrounding mountain scenery. The tree directly outside of the large central window is a yama-zakura a rarer mountain species of the more common sakura cherry tree. There are views of the near and distant mountains. Eagles, hawks and other bird species can be observed at all times during the day.
The living room is the perfect space to watch wildlife, read, work or relax. The space comfortably seats five and so friends can be invited for tea, conversation and dinner or movie nights.
Guests are welcome to request a desk for working in place of the HD TV (with choice of Chromecast or Amazon fire). A smaller desk is a permanent feature of the Crow's Nest bedroom.

Enjoying an exclusive elevated balcony and entryway, The Crow's Nest is your private observatory in the sky. High up above the mountains you can observe the changing landscape and its wildlife from inside the living space or from your private balcony perch.
A Japanese Living Flow
In true Japanese style, you have a genkan - entryway - where you remove and put on shoes. A shoe rack and bench there for the purpose. Hooks provide ample space for coats and jackets and small shelves are there for everyday carry items.
A Compact Custom-Built Ceder-Lined Kitchen
With an extendable breakfast-bar this custom-built ceder kitchen maximizes the available space while providing everything that you need to live without great compromises over a full size kitchen. Appliances include an IH hob with additional/backup gas cassette hob. Rice cooker. Microwave/Oven.
Under and over-counter space integrates innovate storage solutions and a full compliment of all utensils, cutlery, glassware, and crockery.
A mid-sized fridge with freezer provides ample food storage space for singles and couples. Additional storage above.
The Bedroom
With USB ports, LED reading lights and wood-lined walls, the bedroom is a cosy and convenient space.
Compact Study Desk
Situated within the bedroom with generous power points, the compact desk can be used to work or as a dressing table or expanded shelf for books or other items.
Wardrobe and Storage
With a custom built full height double wardrobe and storage space for suitcases and other items, you can unpack and make the Crow's Nest your home!
Your Vanity Sink, Toilet and Shower
At the end of the bed, your vanity sink and en-suite toilet and shower are custom built to form an ergonomic space.
